RustBlast Powder is a completely soluble, crystalline-granular product that, when dissolved in water, produces a safe, powerful and reusable soak solution for removing corrosion from ferrous metal surfaces.

Mixing Instructions
Dissolve 1kg of RustBlast Powder in up to 19L of water. Use warm to hot tap water to speed the solubilisation process.
Working Times
- Light rust: As little as 20 minutes
- Heavy rusted metal: Overnight soaking
- Accelerated removal: Heat solution to 50-70°C using an immersion heater for very fast rust removal
Important Notes
- Ideal pre-treatment process prior to KBS Fuel Tank Sealant Kit, especially for extremely rusted fuel tanks
- Does not etch metal surface - treatment with KBS RustBlast (liquid) is required prior to application of KBS RustSeal
- Metals containing zinc, lead, tin or alloys thereof should not be treated with RustBlast Powder
Preparation
- Remove dirt, grease, oil and other contaminants from items to be treated
- Remove loose or flaky rust mechanically where possible prior to treatment
- Ensure rusted surface is completely submerged in soak solution
- Inspect periodically and brush with stiff-bristled brush to remove loosened rust
- Continue soaking until surface is clean and rust free
- Rinse metal pieces with water, brush as necessary and force dry
