Permatex PermaPoxy 5 Minute Plastic Weld is a structural adhesive designed for general purpose bonding of a wide variety of materials such as hard and soft plastics to specified surfaces. This Plastic Welder forms a tough, durable bond to most plastics, composites, ceramics, and wood in any combination.

  • Fast Curing: Gelling of mixed adhesive in 5-6 minutes and fixturing in 9-10 minutes
  • High Strength: Permanent strength up to 3500 PSI
  • No Primers Required: Sets in five minutes at room temperature
  • Cream Appearance: Off-white/cream colored finish when cured
  • Gap Filling: Fills gaps up to 0.125 inch (3.2mm)
  • Temperature Range: Operating range from -60°F to 250°F (-51°C to 121°C)
  • Resistant: Water resistant and good chemical resistance
  • Volume: 0.84 fl oz (25ml) dual syringe package

Directions for Use

  1. Protect: Work area must be protected from accidental spills
  2. Clean: Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease and oil
  3. Prepare: Roughen smooth surfaces using abrasives or sandpaper
  4. Open Package: Remove syringe and cut off tips of both nozzles
  5. Dispense: Depress plunger to dispense Part A and Part B
  6. Mix: Mix thoroughly on a clean, discardable surface for 2-3 minutes until evenly colored
  7. Apply: Apply small amount to both surfaces and assemble parts immediately (working time approximately 5 minutes)
  8. Cure: Usable strength reached in 4 hours at 72°F (22°C)

Important Notes

WARNING: Will not bond most polyethylene or polypropylene plastics.
