Selleys Autofix Instant Gasket is a tough acetic-cure R.T.V. silicone rubber which replaces conventional cork gaskets. This high-performance gasket maker cures to a tough silicone rubber which outperforms and replaces conventional paper, cork or rubber gaskets.

Application Instructions
- Remove old gasket material from mating surfaces and clean with mineral turpentine
- If adhesion of the gasket is not required, wipe mating surfaces with an oily cloth
- For 75g tube - pierce blind seal in tube and fit nozzle
- Cut nozzle to required size; e.g. 3mm for stamped parts and 1.5mm for cast parts
- Squeeze or extrude bead of sealant onto one of the surfaces to be joined, around the perimeter of the part and around bolt holes
- Join the parts together within 10 minutes and bolt down to the desired torque
- Material cures in 24 hours
Cleanup & Removal
- Uncured product: Remove with mineral turpentine
- Cured product: Remove by cutting and scraping
- Clean up before sealant cures with mineral turps
During application a harmless vinegar odour is generated, but disappears as the sealant cures.
