Our Story

Founded by Tim, Jay, Andy and Stephen (with a whole lot of help from our great partners), plus Steve, our key innovator and go-getter who's a real weapon in design. Oh, and Caleb (fun fact: Caleb, full-time employee number one, doesn't even have a license!)

We're just a bunch of everyday people who believe looking after your car shouldn't be a hassle.

Why We Built M.A.T.E.

Jay and Stephen have logged more hours in the auto parts world than they care to admit, while Andy and Tim bring fresh energy and a different way of doing things. Together, we're making car care simpler, smarter, and a bit more fun.

We've got access to all the same parts as the big guys over at SuperAutoCheapBarn* (you know who we're talking about), but here's the difference: we believe finding the right part should be easier and not feel overwhelming.

We miss the old days (not that long ago!) when you could walk into an auto store and actually get good advice from someone who cared. So, we're bringing that back -only this time, it's online and we'll ship it to you.

And this is just the beginning. Our upcoming features list is longer than your Insta feed (seriously, grab a snack before you start scrolling). We hope you stick with us, because we're changing the way Australian's buy parts, accessories, and maintain their cars. We'll also help you learn more along the way, seriously, we'll help guide you to change your wiper blades for the first time!

At the heart of it all, MATE uses data-backed recommendations to put the right choices in front of you-so you can spend less time keeping your car on the road and more time actually driving.
