Installation Guidelines

In most engine cooling system applications, coolant travels through the block, up into the cylinder head(s), and out of the engine at the thermostat housing. The temperature probe should ideally be plumbed into the system where the coolant is hottest - generally the thermostat housing, in the coolant passages adjacent to it, or in the water jacket of the cylinder head(s).

For installation, you can use a SAAS brass adaptor to tap into an available coolant jacket port, or alternatively, splice into your top radiator hose using a SAAS Water Temp Adaptor fitting.
