Function & Operation
Idle jets supply fuel at low engine speeds and part throttle conditions until air speed increases sufficiently to draw fuel from the main circuit. This typically occurs up to 3000rpm depending on engine specifications and venturi size. The precise fuel metering ensures optimal idle mixture and smooth progression through the transition phase from idle to main circuit operation.
